TaxaFinns PHILIPS MUSEUM

Here you´ll find some additional pictures, both from my own collection and other collector-collegues. There´s also a  couple of brochures here and a few graphics. I´ll fill in some more pics along the way. As in January 2005 I have added some 25 new pictures to this page, especially some very high quality close-ups. Have fun.....

YOU CAN CHECK OUT MY NEW 2008 GALLERY HERE

Here´s a scan of the page where "Ekstra Bladet" visited my humble bedroom
This is a picture from my collection in 2002. It´s been changed a little since.
Here´s a nightshot from my collection in 2004. 2004 nightshot as well, this is a close-up of the "jewell of my crown"-radio, the 702. Below is  the 651 MFB-tuner and a peep of the 551 MFB-preamp. In the summer of 2000, the danish tabloidpaper "Ekstra Bladet" had an article about this museum. This is a scan of the entire article.
This is a homemade graphic of the 26" Philips-TV we had when I was a child in the early 70´s, does anyone know anything about this model?
This is an advertising picture from the launch of the worlds first home video recorder in 1974, the Philips VCR1500.
This picture is from the cover of a Philips HiFi Test LP in Holland in 1976.
The front of a danish Philips Super-M pick-up brochure i 1976. And the backside as well....
A danish Philips DCC brochure from 1995
And the back....
Here´s my Bang & Olufsen Beovox 5700, lined up with the Beomaster 6000 quadrofonic receiver.
Here´s my "bedroom"-lineup of the Philips 720 receiver, the 212 turntable and the 4510 reel-to-reel deck. This is the Bang & Olufsen Beolit 505 portable radio, BEFORE it was cleaned up.... And this is the  Bang & Olufsen Beolit 505 portable radio, AFTER the cleaning. Would anyone believe it´ the same radio? Both my Sony KV1310E 13" colour TV´s from 1968, the one with the black  front sadly has a very poor picture, the other one much better. Here´s another homemade thing, the famous Philips HiFi-logo.
NEW PICTURES - JANUARY 2005:
My very tiny and non-growing TV-collection, with the Sony KV1310E and the Sony Betamax C7E being the jewels...
This is my new Philips-department, not all the Philips-items are there yet, will squeeze in another shelf soon. Here are the "Floor-fillers", the 2 Philips 426 and 427, with the B&O Beovox 5700 far left.
The left side of my new line-up... The right side of my new line-up... A little close-up from the uppershelf.
And two indicators.... The tuningdial of the Philips 901 receiver.
Here is a close-up of the Philips 720´s buttons.
A Close-up of the Philips 702 buttons.... Another one..... And of course the right hand side of that jewel!
The GP400 Pick-up from the Philips 412 turntable. The legendary Philips CD100 CD-player, the first ever build, and weighs a ton! Not much plastic inside that baby...
My little 9" Philips B/W-beauty, can´t locate the typeno., since the label is missing. Can anyone help?
And here´s a close-up of the Armstrong 625-receiver, note that there´s light in that Armstrong-sign. Surely something, ae.....?
The also now-defectice Tandberg 310 MKII cassette, those Tandbergs are almost as reliable as the B&O´s.....
From the non-Philips department, here´s the heavyweight Pioneer SX850... And the Sony EL5 ElCaset, if anyone has a few tapes left over for this baby, let me know.... The sadly now-defective Tandberg 3300 reel-to-reel......
The first receiver I ever played with was this danish Arena t1900 from 1965, with no FM-stereo and build-in speakers... We got this Arena T2500 with FM-stereo in the early 70´ s, and the show was on the road.....
To both Arena´s we had a set of ITT 4025 speakers connected. And as they say, the rest is history!
The pictures below here are from my mate Jørgens collection. Like me, he doesn´t  ONLY collect Philips-stuff from the 70´s, but also other brands. But still, only 70´s - no 80´s plastic there either.
He has a Philips-corner as well, this is the beautiful 720 with the fitting 212 turntable and of course the 2510 cassette in the middle.
This is his "jewell in the crown" of his collection, the rare and very impressive 4450 tape deck. It runs perfectly and looks just as fine.
Here´s  his prime "showcorner", notice the guitars on the wall,
he doesn´ t play them very well...
Jørgen slipped outside our 1970´s rule, and got himself a Beocord 2000 from the late 1960´s. Looks good though....
Here´s  a little close-up of the 212 turntable´s extremly  innovative (then!)  fingertouch buttons. This is his Elcaset-collection, he has both the Sony EL5 and the EL7. If anyone has some tapes for sale, let us know.....
Jørgen paid 5 £ for this piece! It´ s a very rare B&O Beogram 4000 from 1973. And it runs perfectly.... Here´ s a close-up of the tonearm on the Beogram 4000.
Jørgen has now (2005) stacked away some of his Philips-stuff and i concentrating his nostalgia on this reference-lineup! Here´ s a close-up of his Philips N4510 reel-to-reel beauty.....
Here´s  a few pics from my best mate Peter in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK:
This is his Philips 712 from around 1974, which is the big brother of the 702. The 712 has never been sold in neither Denmark or the UK, this one is from Germany, with german text on the frontpanel. It´s quite rare and he´s very proud of it, but I don´t care.... Here´s Peters Philips 851 receiver with  cassette. Peter´s a few years younger than me, so he´s a bit into the late 1970´s plastic-things Philips made then. Besides that, his a great guy....................
Like my mate Jørgen, Peter´s also extremely mad about this Philips N4450 reel-to-reel-bomb! To big for my style, though. Now they both have one, and think that I´m envious...... Peter found this very rare Philips 22RH591 amplifier before me on E-Bay, but I will get one soon, mate....
To complete my misery, he of course also the 22RH691 tuner for it. But are in perfect working condition, being the first seperate HiFi-tuner/amps build by Philips.
NEW PICTURES - JULY 2005:
A picture from Jens Lauvåsen in Norway:
In my danish world this is a real rare item: A Philips 22GF908 turntable with built in amplifier. The amp is 2x15/2x20 watts, the same as the RH520 (which weren´t sold in Denmark either).
